What you need is to uninstall the conventional wisdom of being a teacher.

To succeed as a teacher, you need to "abandon" the role of a teacher.

Work and personal life are like "two wheels of a car"—they have a significant mutual influence, so you need to have both.

By pursuing both their current teaching career and a second career simultaneously, teachers can not only re-evaluate the teaching profession but also significantly contribute to their post-retirement life planning.

This course will support you in re-examining all aspects of your teaching career, personal life, and post-retirement life planning, guiding you towards success.

What you’ll learn:

This course will teach you the mindset and methods for active teachers to pursue three goals simultaneously: "career success," "personal life success," and "second career development." "Work" and "personal life" are like two wheels of a car, strongly influencing the "present." "Second career development" is connected to thinking about the "future." We will cover these three points.

We will support you in breaking away from the "traditional teacher" and "traditional school education" and aiming to become a "next-generation teacher." To that end, we will address the problems of "traditional education" and provide the necessary mindset and methods for "teachers as carriers of next-generation education" from a new perspective. We will explain the meaning of the phrase, "If you abandon being a teacher, you can become a teacher."

This course does not offer skills or know-how for addressing the various problems teachers face. Nor does it discuss the merits or demerits of educational policies or teachers' working conditions. Instead, it proposes ways to maximize the benefits of the teaching profession and contribute to students and many others.

Upon completing this course, you will gain a broader perspective not only on your teaching career but also on life itself. Became a public high school teacher at age 25 and has been involved in teaching for 30 years since then (as of January 2025).

At age 45, realizing that "life is limited," I changed my approach to work and began leaving work on time.

In 2017 and 2018, I took full annual leave. I dedicated this new time to spending time with family and self-improvement.

In 2021, I established the "Next Generation Education Promotion Association (TEAM NGT)."

In 2022, the association was renamed "The Association for Seriously Considering Teachers' Careers."

Feeling that in order to enhance the potential and broaden the options of the next generation of children, individual teachers must first comprehensively re-examine their own lives, I started the association's activities with the goal of a "paradigm shift for all adults involved in school education," including teachers.

My top priorities are "teacher self-actualization" and "a paradigm shift in school education."
