Karen Blixen: Name Change and the Offering of the Soul

In the Syv fantastisk fortællinger, two of the stories are about the "Carnival". Karen Blixen hid herself under the character Mimi and Denys is her partner or Mimi's partner.
Karen Blixen was wondering about the name, she could use to publish her books, finally, she chose the Dinesen. Her idea was that it is connected to Isak, the Abraham's son from Bible.
Here the autobiography writer refers to the Hebrew version of the story, as in Islam, the other son is taken to the hills.
On the page 56. the name change and transformation is discussed in various ways. Similarities to Sara. Abraham's wife. Karen Blixen also went through an offering and anme change.
Personal note:
I had to study the Bible from Christian and Jews ways as well. I also read a big part of the Quran. So this part, Abraham, Sara I learned at least from three different viewpoints.
What was one of the most important part from my memories regarding to this transformation?
Originally Abraham's wife was older, than other women, when she still wanted to be pregnant. She waited for a very long period, longer than others. Her menstruation was over, she did not have more ovulation. So after the Biological studies, she was done with the option to have pregnancy by her own. She could have side wives, who could deliver kids instead of her. That also happened. As in that period, it was allowed for Abraham to have several wives. This was also the beginning or origin of the two religion for Jewish and Islam. As the two sons were born very close to each others in time.
This is also the source of the different stories, who was taken to the hill? Who was offered to the God as a sacrifice? Who was saved by the angel?
Who was replaced with an animal sacrifice?
Nah, but back to one of the wives, to Sara.
This girl or old lady had a name, that was connected more to the meaning of being not productive or dry. And this name made a manifestation in her life by not succeeding to be pregnant and carry out her own child.
Then there was a visit, an angel talked with Abraham and gave him promises, that he will be able to have his own kids with Sara as well.
In the main time, this angel got several different interpretation in the different religions. In the Christian religion, this specific angel was Jesus Christ before his human body manifestation.
As this promise or blessing was so big from the God, that only very very high level angel could deliver this message.
WHY?
In several religion, the way between the God and the humans are seperated with several heavens, or skys. And different empires are the rules of the layers.
Nah, you can see the layers in other religions as well, like Nordic Nature religions, or Shaman Hungarian religions as well.
Why is it an issue?
As in the Bible, the believers, followers, humans are asked to pray non stop, some cases to fast as well. For a support action to the message delivery. Like, when the angel goes through the different layers, the humans must pray, so the angel can fight through the challenges.
Some cases, the message arrives in the last minuet.
If it is too mystic to understand, than think about football.. the fans must support the players, by cheering for their teams. Plus sometimes the big changes or goals happen in the last minuet.
I hope this example helped to understand the support idea in the religions.
Nah back to the name change of the wife.
Sara, was overhearing the conversation between Abraham and the angel, as she was not invited to the meeting. She was kind of spying from the kitchen.
She herself on one hand wanted to fulfil the wish of being fertile, but she was over 90 years old, and probably went crazy a few times, by wishing, hoping, and falling on her face mentally. It is a very big mental struggle, plus body challenge.
In my family we also had this kind of challenges, when women wished to have pregnant, but for very long period, it was not possible. Or numerous miscarriage, some cases stilborn also happened.
Very big trauma, that some cases passed down for several generations creating giant amount of fears and superstitions.
Again back to Sara.
She got a new name, that was more likely had a meaning of a fertile idea. So the name change also helped her mental changes, and she finally got pregnant.
Plus here the food is also important. Every time, you need to be nice with your guest, as without your knowledge, maybe angels visit you. But angels are not human, so they do not eat human food. But you need to offer food as well.
Here was also food offering. That was made by probably by Sara. So her interaction, and her offering was there as well. She was not present in the deal meeting, but without her offering there deal would have not been closed.
Back to Karen Blixen.
She made a name change. She also made her mental offering. She also wanted to be fertile, but her body was over poisoned buy arsenic and mercury from the syphilis treatment in Africa.
It takes a lot of treatment to clean out the body, and the recovery was not fully down in her case.
So she wanted to lower the mental challenge. She made her male name, she made her own offering, she made her own magi.
She became both man and woman. She became fertile, she produced books.
In the Biology, the snail can be both man and woman, and self fertilize.
