Obon festival

I was around 10 years old when my grandmother first told me about this festival, and asked me to try to make a lamp and make it fly with a candle. This is another lantern festival (Google AI: The Lantern Festival (Yuanxiao): Celebrated in China and Taiwan at the end of the Lunar New Year, where "Kongming" lanterns are released into the sky.)
During the Obon festival, you can float lanterns. - I was also asked to make the floating version.
I have another blog about cemeteries in Denmark, where I show nearly 30 different cemeteries.
See: Danmarks kirkegarde https://danmarkskirkegarde.weebly.com/
In Poland, I learned that bringing alcohol and food to the cemetery and eating together with the dead is ok.
In Hungary, flowers, candles, and stones are very common to bring to the tombs.
I usually prefer hard candies or gummy bears to bring.
So this festival is about the death.
