Rent a boyfriend in Japan

So today, YouTube recommended a video about this topic. A girl, who is single and has lived in Japan for 6 years, rented a local Japanese boyfriend for a few hours.

It was 11 000 Japanese Jen for one hour, that is around 440dkk. So a hairdresser earns better in Denmark.

Or not!

Why?

He said in the last hour that he can make an extra one hour as a date service, but the girl gave him only 10 000 Jen, and he explained that he needs the true hours price, so 11 000 Jen as he pays taxes.

Nah, the Aussie-German girl living in Japan for 6 years, first she hid this information, and they ran the video recording in English. Then, in the restaurant, she started to use Japanese. Her main focus was the anime movies and some teenage series, I believe, as this guy did not remember those cultural things.

So, living in Japan for 6 years, speaking Japanese with a very good accent, the cultural connection was not fully clicked. Of course, you can see that the video quality jumped higher after shifting to Japanese; he felt more in the trusted zone.

But hey, I grew up on a Japanese cartoon, Candy Candy! :D My sister could not stop watching them, so I also had to watch them, Lord Archibald and other things :)))

Nah, it was good when we were teenagers or younger.

Nah, I chose this picture, as here Candy started to have very pretty dresses. One of the main reasons in the beginning, it was difficult for me to follow the series; she was in a situation where she could not have a beautiful dress. I loved those moments in the series, when they slowed down to show the details of her new dresses, the material, the layers, the spinning quality of the textile. All those sparks were the top point in the series. I was always looking for those moments.

Just like when in the other series, the Sailor Moon, the girls transform, always the very best moments!

So it is fun to talk about anime, but I think, even if you go for a rental boy date, this should not be a topic to discuss.

So in the video, he talks about his regular clients, who are, in some cases are wife, and he says, it is not cheating, as he only holds hands, hugs, and two more basic things. But no kisses or similar.

I think in this video, he went too far. Why do I say it? In Japan, people are very conscious about their health. And he let the girl eat the ice cream, so they shared it. Plus, they also shared food in the restaurant.
It is very US movie style, but not so much Japanese healthy style.
Also, at the end, the boy said goodbye in Japanese, but the girl was not following the cultural rules, and you can see that he was hurt.

I am not sure if it is his real job.
I am not sure if he really does it for real.
He said that he has an extra job, connected to IT.

I think he is an IT guy who spent money to date someone, hiding behind this "rent a boyfriend" profile.
Plus, he was too stylish compared to the girl, and she did not understand these things.

So you can live in Japan for years, you can speak Japanese, and still not get the culture....

I like anime, but I prefer Tokyo Vice.

I think it is a very feminist app in Japan: "rent a boyfriend!.

Why?
So girls can understand how it feels when one person pays....
